Best output for a video (photo montage)
by George barker on Dec 14, 2012 at 5:38:05 pm
Hi guys I have created a video montage of my Auntie that sadly passed away this year, and this is a video
Montage for my uncle as a dvd/xmas present.
Now when I am in after effects my pictures look as crisp as the real photo does, now the problem im facing is, when I render my video, it all works and plays fine, yet the pictures lose alot of quality...why is this?
can someone maybe recommend the right output setting for this type of animation? I want to put this on a DVD disc by the way.

I'm sorry for your loss, George.
Your settings didn't show up here -- if you've uploaded a picture, you also have to copy and paste the embed code from the upload page into your post. Can you re-insert that?
DVD is standard definition, so if you're working in high definition in Ae, you will lose quite a bit of resolution taking it to DVD.
