Multicore rendering freezes at "Initialising background processes" CS6

Hello,

has anyone found a solution for this problem yet?

I'm really hoping they this in an update, because it is becoming an expensive bug, with render times going op 6x.

The interesting part is that it only freezes in certain projects, yet it has has nothing to do with 3rd party plug-ins as far as I can tell.

I found out the problem is project based not composition based. Importing the project in to another project doesn't work eather.

Also playing around with the multicore rendering setting does not make a difference.

Thanks.

It is best if you add your system specs, AE version and OS to the issue you are posting about. There are a number of possible reasons for the problem you describe, but without details it's hard to narrow it down.

I experience that on my PC when trying to use Multi Processing when using VCP Element. So I dont. :D

Not sure if this is just my system, I can always get it to render out one piece then it will start freezing up. If you shut down the program there will be once after effects process that sticks around in task manager. Close that out restart the program and it will render another timeline out. I know this is obnoxious but for me anyways it still saves a ton of time.
