I have a scene I want to create where I start with the earth and zoom into the world and you see Abraham by a tent, then I zoom out of the earth and then I zoom back into the world and you see Noah's ark and same thing and the next shot you see a burning bush...

For the earth I would buy a pre-made 'earth zoom'. How would I go from the earth zoom to the shot of Abraham by the tent? I am filming the Abraham scene, by I am looking for a transition from the earth zoom to the Abraham

Burning Bush

I would need to film a bush and make it look like it is on fire.... I have action essentials with fire, but what would I have to do to make to make it look authentic?

For the zoom, one good place to start would be right here on the COW. Search in the After Effects forum for the term, "Cosmic Zoom". It will help a lot.

For the bush, you could shoot an acacia bush (resistant to flame, thought by some biblical scholars to be the original burning bush)covered in flame-retardant liquid and fed with gas jets.

Practical effects......
