Currently I have a GTX 570 in one slot and an ATI 2600 in the other on my early 2008 Mac Pro in ML. The 2600 is powering my monitors. Is there a way to keep this setup and have after effects use the ram from the GTX. When I run element 3D It says it's using the GTX but only accessing 256 mb of ram from the ATI. If I pull that card out and run the monitors off the gtx then I'm getting the full 2.5 gig from the 570. How can I run these both together and take advantage of the faster card?

OSX 10.8.2
Equipment: 2.8 ghz 8 core Intal Mac Pro 3,1 Early 2008, 20 gig of ram
Aps: CS6 Production Premium, FCP Suite, Avid Media Composer

You can't. OpenGL effects like Element 3D must use the GPU attached to the monitor.
