How to fade a person from a photograph?
on Oct 13, 2012 at 1:37:55 pm

Hello,

For the last couple of days I have been breaking my mind trying to find a way to fade a person from a photograph

Example

In this current video, Hermione Granger disappears from all the photographs(Deathly Hallows Part I).

Does anyone know a tutorial or a trick as to how I can achieve this?

I will be very grateful for your help.

Thank You

Hi Akbar -

-- this is an easy one though if you have not done this before you will need to spend quite a bit of time reading up about it.....

1 ) Get the Photo graph ( that was n the shoot ) - take it into Photo shop and paint out the subject using cloning or whatever - this is so you have 2 versions - one with and one without subject.

2 ) take clip into AE and add the 2 PS stills as seperate layers.

3 ) track the 2 PS stillS to the picture frame in the moving shot and cross-fade from one to the other as desired.

All the best

I would add that using the healing brush in conjunction with the cloning tool will get the results you want.
