3D Fog and alternate zdepth source

Is it possible to have the Fog 3D and Depth Matte effects use an alternate source for zdepth? As the one contained in the .rpf files I'm using is of course aliased. Which gives some jaggy edges. Would rendering out a fake depth pass with anti-aliasing fix the jaggies?
