After Effects Render Output

Hello

I am working for a webcasting company that wants to use some nice graphics made in AE. Our question is if it is possible to use the render area as an output instead of having to render the comp into a video file and playing that back.
We are using CS 6

Much appreciated

Are you asking if you can use Ae for live playout? If so, the answer is no.

You could theoretically use dynamic link from Ae into Premiere to do this, but you will get dropped frames with more complex Ae comps.

The best solution is to render and use another app for playout.

Yes that is what I meant. We wanted to use it for sports where we would have to constantly change and thought it would save us time.

Thanks though

Got it. Ae is not the application you want.

You'd be better off with a "character generator" application (such as Chyron, Avid Motion Graphics, vizRT, etc.) -- they are purpose-built for real-time graphics. Many of them may be overkill for your needs, so it may require some research to find an appropriate solution.
