(S. Melbourne, Australia--July 25, 2012) Bluefish444, manufacturer of the industry’s highest-quality uncompressed 4K/2K/HD/SD SDI video cards, announced today that it has released a new Windows driver V5.11.1 making significant updates to its free plug ins to Adobe® Creative Suite® 6 Production Premium and Avid® Media Composer 6 for its Epoch and Create video cards.
Adobe® Creative Suite® 6 Production Premium
The Bluefish444 Windows plug in for Adobe Creative Suite 6 Production Premium supports the new hardware monitoring Adobe Mercury Transmit plug in architecture, dramatically improving the number of video formats that can be previewed and mastered from Bluefish444 hardware.
“The Adobe Mercury Transmit SDK is a very powerful tool for Bluefish444 to leverage for direct access to the Mercury Playback Engine, so our customers can experience better playback performance than ever before,” said Craige Mott, Managing Director of Bluefish444. “By upgrading to Adobe Creative Suite 6 Production Premium, Epoch and Create users will be able to preview and master camera formats from ARRI, Red and Canon that they couldn’t previously access from within our plug in. Adobe has expanded the workflow capability of our products with Adobe Creative Suite 6 Production Premium and Adobe Mercury Transmit.”
AVID® Media Composer 6
Bluefish444, having officially supported AVID® Media Composer 6 as an AVID® Open I/O partner since February 2012, has added significant new functionality to both the SDI capture and playback components to its Windows plug in.
The new V5.11.1 driver includes Bluefish444 hardware color space conversions between RGB and YUV video modes during capture. Epoch and Create video cards process the conversions between RGB and YUV video modes in 12 bit pixel depth providing the highest quality hardware color space conversion of the AVID Open I/O hardware partners.
The new V5.11.1 driver includes support for Bluefish444 hardware enabled HD/SD up and down conversion on the Bluefish444 SDI output from Media Composer 6. Bluefish444 has developed the highest quality hardware scaling algorithm for up and down conversion of the AVID Open I/O partners ensuring that SDI preview and mastering of AVID Media Composer 6 projects is done at the highest possible quality.
The Windows V5.11.1 driver is freely available from the Bluefish444 homepage for Epoch and Create video card owners.
