So I'm projecting onto a building and I've mapped every single brick on the building in Illustrator (CS5). This is being used as a mask for footage and effects to allow me to project on singular bricks etc.
One thing I want to try and do is to make all the brick fly into position from the top in order.
Fisrt think I've done is to copy the paths from Illustrator (all1600 of them) and pasted them into a white solid layer. This creates 1600 masks showing each brick in white in the composition.

I could of course animate EACH mask to fly into position manually, but theres 1600 of them. Any thoughts on how might be able to do this?

As a separate thing
Also trying to make random brick flash with colour. I have a couple of thoughts - but there all manual.

Let me know what you think.

Cheers guys,
