I can figure out a way to do this hockneyed, but was wondering if there was a smarter/more professional way to have a logo explode, then reform into a new logo, i'm sure the answer is on the web but this is a really fast paced project so answers asap would be greatly appreciated!!!

many thanks.

Like.. animate the first logo exploding, then combine with an animation the second logo exploding - but time reversed so it plays backwards.

I would think during the initial explosion, with tons of motion blur, would be a good point to transition to the second explosion and have it not be visible.

What effect are you using to explode the logo?

Until Element releases next month, that's about all you can do. There are tons of ways to hide the transition though. Usually, in animations like this, the particles are flying around quite rapidly; motion blur covers a multitude of sins.

I would use shatter or Trapcode form.

Also, effects like these often get a professional looking boost by precomping the elements and time remapping them with variable time keyframes. Hope that made sense. I had a long day.
