sorry if this is in the wrong place, i did search various terms.

So have you seen the TV show Big Bigger Biggest. Its very popular, partly i'm sure, for the cool animations. They have a blueprint look and feel, just wireframes, but smoothly animated.

And i've been asked to put one together "if it doesnt take a week".

At work i have access to CS6 AE, CS6 PPro, and 3DS Max, maybe others.

Has anyone made such an animation? What did you use?
Anyone come across a tutorial of the above?

Thanks, Jon

Those are animated 3D models, and they'd have to be done in a 3D application like Max.

How long it will take to do depends on how well you know your 3D app, how good your modeling skills are, and how complicated the object you have to model is. You may be able to save time by finding a stock 3D model for the object you need on a site like TurboSquid.

Trapcode Form might be able to do some cool things, but you would still need a 3D model created in 3DS Max or from TurboSquid as Walter suggests.

Depending on what exactly you need to include in your title sequence- what kind of objects you need + text, you may be able to use a plugin like ShapeShifter. For more complex 3d objects you can also use Zaxwerks Invigorator Pro. Of course the most direct way would be to do it in a 3d app, but I think AE can achieve a similar result using only 3rd party plugins like the one I mentioned above.

Thanks Guys,
i need to make a train on tracks scene.
A very simple train (bullet-ish) moving a dozen trainlengths.

As i have access to 3ds max, i'd like to use it. I've done a bit a few years back and enjoyed the program/interface/workflow/etc.

i guess i better research Max tutorials and libraries.
:)
