Timelapse photos, constructing sequence with metadata?
on Jun 6, 2012 at 7:50:46 pm

Hello,

I am fairly new to After Effects, though have many years experience with other Adobe programs (Photoshop, especially) and NLE programs (Final Cut Pro, Avid).

I have made timelapse sequences by taking photos with a shutter release. I am trying to figure out if it is possible to sequence these images in After Effects (or somewhere else) based on their time stamps.

For example:

first photo is taken at 12:00pm
second photo is taken at 12:00:30pm
third photo is taken at 12:00:35pm
fourth photo is taken at 12:01pm

What I want to happen is the first photo appears and is displayed for thirty seconds, then the second photo appears and is displayed for five seconds, then the third photo appears and is displayed for 25 seconds....and so on. Is this possible? I tried searching forums but really couldn't figure out even how to begin.

thanks!
