Jack Nganre: Coordinating pin/puppet tool with nulls in after effects

Hi everyone, I've read but never joined a forum before; I hope this works, I don't know what else to do :(

I'm a graphic designer that took on a gig I presently regret. I've been learning AE for 2 week now and have gained enough knowledge to comprehend this tutorial

however, I've been stuck at an obstacle for 3 full days now. Let me tell you what I'm doing briefly before I asked the question.

I found a AE trick online that uses camera angles for creating depth in an animated character's head. So I selected a camera angle to work from first and have rigged all the head components together. However, now I'm rigging the body and not sure where I'm going wrong but I find the pin coordinates kind of fishy as it's low compared to surrounding objects. Therefore, when I try to match nulls with the puppet pin coordinates they don't match up. I suspect it's the body file I imported from PS. Any suggestions?

Thx guys, I would really appreciate any help at all. I'm kinda goin nuts right now :(
