I have created several Targa sequences directly in After Effects. When I attempt to import them back into After Effects I get this error message: "after effects error the file format could not parse the file. ( 45::35 )" I have been creating targa image sequences like this for years and haven't had any trouble. Now all of a sudden this raises its ugly head. I am able to work around the problem by setting up a batch save and convert in Photoshop and converting the files to .PSDs. But it's a pain. Does anyone have any insights regarding this issue?

Just in case check if its CMYK or some other type of format?
Or check bit level like 8bit 16 etc...
I havent used TGA in like 10 years.

Thanks for the response.

Targas can only be RGB 8 bit. What makes this issue even more perplexing is that I can import targas that were created in After Effects last month. All of the render output settings between then and now are identical. For now I am rendering my sequences to PSDs so I can continue working. But I am on a quest to discover what this problem is.

Well that explains why I stopped using it :)
Did you install anything new on that system?
Do you get the same results on other systems with that file or different file?
