Hi,

Rendering from After Effects to play in Powerpoint 2007 and am not seeing a transparent background in the video. I've tried the combos below and included a snapshot of the render queue:

Which (if any) of the combinations should have produced video with a transparent background? Are there additional values for rendering that I need to change; if so, what are they and what should they be changed to?

I could be wrong but I am fairly sure powerpoint doesnt do alpha channels.

The higher they fly... the much.

Powerpoint supports .avi and .mov file types.

[Fred Lexus] "Powerpoint supports .avi and .mov file types."

Quicktime player also supports .mov file types; no mystery there. However, QT player does NOT support alpha channels, which is where the transparency information is located. You see a gray background.

Similar to QT Player, I doubt that Powerpoint is sophisticated enough to support alpha channels.

I know that powerpoint supports alphas in PNG stills, so maybe try a png sequence?

Yeah, but it remains Powerpoint, and I'm not convinced it's up to the task of playing back a PNG sequence in real time. I could be wrong.

The only thing I could think of that might support transparency in a moving image in Powerpoint would be a GIF
