First of all, I'm quite new to AE, so pls don't kill me if I'm asking obvious things here...

My problem is:

I have filmed a bird with a clear sky behind him, so I could key that bird out. The keying went ok, but what happened is that I filmed the bird from hand (due to lack of better equipment) and he jumps all over the screen, while I need him to stay in the centre of the screen.

How can I make it so that the bird stays at the center of the screen while perfoming it's flight?

Thx in advance!

You need to stabilize the footage and there a number of ways to do that and a lot of resources you might be interested in(doing a google search for (stabilize and after effects will return a lot tutorials):

After Effects Help CS5 version

Stabilize with Warp Stabilizer CS5.5

Warp Stabilizer Tut at AdobeTV

VideoCopilot Tutorial

Finally there you could use mocha, there are many tutorials that might help you. Here's one: Mocha Import

You will need the MochaImport plugin, but you can get a free demo of it.
