Motion Picture Editor asking: I needed to speed up a shot in only one portion of the shot. In After Effects, everything worked well, but on the render, one frame was missing after the ramp in speed returned to normal. Any ideas on why?

AE doesn't handle ramps in speed well. Consider doing the following, if the shot allows:

Split the shot into three sections: normal speed at the head & tail, altered speed in the middle. Speed up just the middle section.

Interesting... Turns out Avid's warp is cleaner anyway. I'll stay in that app for this.
