Hi Everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a keyboard shortcut that would only reveal keyframed properties on a given layer. I know the Adobe website offers a good amount of info, and that there's a shortcut to show keyframed properties and expressions, but it's not really what I need.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :-)

The "u" key is the shortcut you're looking for.

Tapping it once will reveal the keyframed properties.

Tapping it twice (rapidly) will reveal any properties that have been modified.

Hi Bob,

I'm sorry I didn't clarify this sooner, but U isn't quite what I need. I'm hoping to learn a shortcut that shows only keyframed properties, not keyframed properties and expressions. I have some layers that have oodles of expressions, but I only want to see what's been keyframed.

Sorry for the mix-up!

First U and then Shift+EE to hide the expressions.

The solution you're looking for should probably be somewhere here: http://perfectfx.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/keyboard_shortcut.jpg

I'm also not really sure about what you're willing to achieve.

Erik's solution is as good as it gets for now.

Hi there! I'm on the new AE CS6 and Mac Lion, and the Shift+EE isn't working anymore, it hides all the effects only.
Something changed?

I'm still waiting for my copy of CS6 but I Googled "adobe after effects cs6 shortcuts" and there are already a few complaints about some shortcut changes. I am a shortcut addict and would be very annoyed if they changed/removed the shortcuts I use regularly. This is an old thread so if no one else replies I would re-post this question in a new thread.

What keyboard shortcut changes are you talking about, Erik? There aren't any. There are some new ones in CS6, but no changes that I can think of.

Hey Todd, I don't have CS6 yet, I was just going by Robinson's post and a couple of threads in a google search that mentioned some changes. If there are no changes then that's good news! Thanks for the info.

I looks like someone else has already posted a similar question.

Hopefully we'll be able to fix the shortcuts in the shortcuts text file:

Hi Erik, I'm already with CS6 because I'm a happier member of creative cloud! XD

Thanks for the tips! I will take a look, but I'm not sure it will solves my issues.

According to Todd there's no changes in CS6 shortcuts, just adds, so what is the point with the Shift+EE? I already noticed other troubles, like the the "shift" navigation between comps, sometimes I have to tap about 10x the shift key until it shows the navigation menu, no, serious.

Someone else is having these problems?

I just tried it, and it works for me. My only guess is that you're not pressing E twice fast enough, so it's only registering as a single press of E.

Sure thing. I use those shortcuts all the time. Another way to selectively hide stuff you don't want to see is to alt (option) + shift + click on the property.
