Media Manager (equivelant) in After Effects? How should I archive my project properly for future? (RAID1 backup)

I've been working in video for 3 years but have never properly archived my videos, of which there are now many. I have several hard drives now, including a RAID unit for backups

In FCP7, I'm using Media Manager to move my projects to a 2 hard-drive RAID1 unit for backup. How should I archive my AE project? Is there a Media Manager equivalent?

Any advice as to a professional archival workflow would be greatly appreciated, as I have no idea what I'm doing and don't want to lose my work. I have several hard drives, and have been copying projects onto multiple hard drives and then forget which is the most recent.. and which one to delete.. and its a mess

Thanks!

For AE projects it would be a two-step process.

I STRONGLY recommend that you go do AE's online help and look up the Reduce Project and Collect Files commands. Use them as search terms. Read up on it. Understand it. Use a no-longer-useful project in a test run.

Safety first, y'know.....
