Hello! First post here. Got myself into a bit of a pickle.

Ive rendered out a Cinema 4d pass, and used the compositing file to get cameras and lights into after effects.

I have some 2D elements I want in my there; But I want anything under 0 in the Y-axis to be hidden, to simulate a floor.

I have some images to help explain what im talking about.

In this picture, I have a drawn piece of grass, which is being cut off under 0 in the Y-axis because theres a solid there. I like that its being cut off, but dont want the giant grey solid there.

Here it is without the solid. The background looks great, but the grass has some trailing junk at the bottom.

I have to do it to many images, so id prefer a global fix if possible!!

Why not use your grass element as color AND alpha on basic planes in C4D?
Only decent solution I can think of in AE right now would be to mask your items on their bottoms.

You could use copies of the solid as inverted alpha mattes for each object. You may have to slide them each forward or backwards a little bit to match the object's apparent depth in the scene.
