AE with images edges gets jaggy
on Dec 9, 2011 at 5:23:11 am

I am trying to build a video based on images and video clips for a hotel project. Now problem is that when i insert image and use it inside when video plays with zoom or pan it shows the sharp edges very jaggy.

is there a way to reduce that ?

What size are the still images? What kind of movement do they have? Do you have motion blur enabled? Have you tried adding a Fast Blur of .3-.7 on the still images?

can you post a still, or portion of a frame? and is this happening in preview or on final render?

the only thing that i can think of that would cause what sounds like a low quality edge behavior is that the layer's quality switch was switched to draft -- the quality switch look like a diagonal line in the switches panel in the timeline, clicking it toggles between a high quality (smooth line) and low quality (jaggy line).
