Trapcode Form - replacing one particle with a comp
on Dec 3, 2011 at 1:22:29 pm

I have an array of particles in Form. I'm zooming in on a specific particle and would like to replace it with a high-res comp (since the particles resolution is necessarily quite low). Is there anyway to delete a specific particle or have one particle be hi-res?

I think your best bet may be to animate the one hero particle manually, outside of Form.

Would it be possible then to selective "remove" from one of the particles so I can place a comp there? at the moment they are arranged in a grid and overlap, so masking one out might be a pain...

If your comp covers up the particle, perhaps that would work enough. If the particles overlap too much, you could make one of them a very different color from the rest using color maps and then key it out.
