Hello Everyone,

First of all sorry for my english...

I have a simple request of something i never faced...
So i used a Pico Flex table dolly to make a low shot of an actor laying on the floor,
the camera mouvement is really simple, close up to wide shot, in a linear path, the thing is the mouvement is'nt fluid so i managed using mocha to stabilize X and Y perfectly but i wondered if there was a way to stablize the Z mouvement so the motion will be like a linear curve in animation...

Maybe asking to much in post prod.. but nowadays we never know, if someone had a clue it would be incredibly usefull,

Thanks in advance

Seems to me you'll need to time remap the footage, probably manually. I can't think of any other way to smooth a z-dolly shot.

Clever!

A 3D track will help a lot. You could tweak time-remapping while keeping an eye on a tracked point's Z-position.

1. timeremap and use smooth() expression if you have enough fps data

2. timewarp to create new frames while averaging new smoothing frames.

Thanks, i'll check that, for the zoom tracking there is actually no focal change during the shot so it my not be the solution... :-)
