Hello all,

Firstly my apologies if somebody else has posted something similar to this, I have had a look around but I am unable to find the specific answer to my question.

I am looking to attach one end of a line drawn in AE to a null (tracking data applied) so that one end will remain fixed and the other will follow the tracked object. The idea is to create a label that points consistently at the moving object.

I have tried using the puppet tool and applying an expression to fix one point to the null but this appears to break up the line and create an unwanted bend as oppose to a straight line. I can't help but wonder if there is a more simple way to achieve this.

If anybody has any suggestions I would be very grateful,

Many thanks

Ash

There are quite a few posts here about this issue. Basically you use the Beam effect and expressions. Read more here:
