Importing Silhouette shapes into AE: want to import it as shapes not masks.
on Oct 21, 2011 at 7:58:54 am

Hello, I'm doing an rotoscoping job in my company,
and i need to import shapes done in Silhouette into AE.

using a plug-in i was able to import it into AE,
but the problem is it imported as an mask layer, not a shape layer.
I need to apply offset path and repeater to my rotoscoped shapes,
and mask layer can't do that.

is there any other plugin or script that can import silhouette
shape into AE as a "shape" later not mask layers?
It is really necessary for my job. please help!

You can copy a Layer's Mask Path property and paste it onto a Shape Layer's Path attribute.
