I have a video (slide Show) of pictures and Green Screened footage. That I would like to upload to youtube. However every time I render something from AE it come out very large. The video I'm currently working on, after rendering came out to be over 17g. I then exported it with quicktime and it was just over 300 mb's. but you can really see the quality loss.

How should I be rendering out of AF if the video is intended for internet?

Thanks, Michael Patterson .

You do not render out of AE for internet. Open your AE project in Adobe Media Encoder (under File) and select the comp you want rendered. Choose a preset - .flv, .f4v or H264 (all work for YouTube or Vimeo or the net in general) and render from there. Since you already have a rendered file (the 17 Gb one) take that in Encoder and compress to one of the above mentioned formats.

Tudor is right about using Adobe Media Encoder encoding presets for web output. Render and export a losslessly encoded movie out of After Effects and then use Adobe Media Encoder to create the compressed final delivery files.
