Slow Rotation down to stopping point
on Sep 13, 2011 at 2:33:22 pm

Hi all

This may be a common question but I just can't find the solution. I am rotating a 3D coin over 2 seconds (prodcued the 3D coin using this really nice expression found here -

. I'm baically rotating the coin over time but want it to slow down to a stop in a natural way. I've tried using the keyframe assistant (East Out) but this does not work.

Any ideas?

I'm going to warn you off YouTube AE tutorials. They're frequently of questionable in quality, and oftentimes downright misleading. You're better to nose around the Adobe Web site and search for links.

To answer your question, you used the wrong keyframe assistant. Use Easy Ease IN, not out. Here's the logic -- you're moving OUT of the starting keyframe and INTO the next keyframe.

It will also help to learn about the Graph Editor. It's easy to search for that term on AE's Online Help.
