Looking for Variant Motion Control Script

Hi CC,

I really don't know if that's the correct term. It's sounds hi-tech.

I'm looking for some kind of null object tracking script that lags or is not as sharp as the actual null location. Like some sort of soft tracking ability.

My situation is I have wind blowing up against a window with a chain link fence. A spot on the chain link fence is more-a-less determining the wind inertia to to buzz/rattle the window moving the bezier warp I have on the frame. However, I need something uniform but more subtle.

Maybe this isn't the right path, but I thought it a good idea.

If anybody knows what might help, I'd be stoked.

Thanks for reading,
-m

Perhaps you're looking for the smooth Expression method?

Smooth sounds like an adjective that describes what I'm looking for.

To complicate the matter of course for realism, I'm probably going to have to search and finagle a smooth null track that provides an amount of wiggle attached to the track with it's own variance.

Heh, I guess this is getting brainy...

So there's a such thing as a smooth expression. Is there a way to attach a wiggle variant conditionally to this guy? I'm brand new at expressions.

Even worse it's like 1 AM standard time and I've got to cut out from this composite because I have to cut paper tomorrow early.

Sorry for a bunch of hit and run. I wasn't watching the clock.

Thanks for any answers as always. I hope for one day sooner than later to ripple back with more than most likely the obvious.

Not sure if elasticity will get you to where you want to go, but here's some useful stuff on Dan Ebbert's website:
