I need to do some 3d motion tracking for use in after effects and so i have pftrack however when i import my footage (in pftrack) a message from windows pops up saying pftrack has stopped working? I'm working on a acer aspire 64 bit with windows 7. I've tried importing my footage as a sequence but that didnt work either. The footage i'm trying to import is 1920 by 1080 at 29.97 fps and its a .mov file. Any ideas?

How much memory you got? You could be running out if its 4 gigs or less. I'd be afraid to run AE on anything less than 6 gig, actually....

There's your problem. You need more memory.

The thing is on the pftrack website
http://www.thepixelfarm.co.uk/product.php?productId=PFTrack&content=Tech+Sp...
It doesn't mention anything about a minimum amount of memory.

Thanks for the link, but that's not the point.

Here's the point: with just 3GB, you're darned lucky you can run AE AT ALL. No kidding -- AE just eats up memory; as I wrote earlier, I'd be afraid to run it with anything less than 6 gigs, and you've got three.

Now you want to do a 3D track on high-definition video, a very memory-intensive task. Something's got to give, and in you're case you're simply running out of memory. You need more.
