I'm trying to simulate an above (aerial) shot of a pathway moving along as a character walks along it (kind of like an old driving video game or what you would see on a GPS when driving). I'm having a hard time figuring out how to animate the pathway. I've started out by illustrating a long winding path (in a loop) and thought I could just keyframe the rotation and position, but it looks bumpy and it's not very smooth. I want to play with the anchor of the rotation, so that the character in the frame can tay in the same position, but the pathway moves underneath her.
My instincts tell me that I need a fixed anchor point (centre where my character is placed) and to 'feed' the pathway through that anchor point (so that it always orients and rotates itself around the character. I'm just not sure how to go about this? Is it possible? Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the link. Is there a video example I can watch of this?
