Hi I'm trying to motion track some video footage, but the apply button is greyed out/unavailable. I'm pressing analyze but it's still greyed out. I don't know what's happened as I was able to successfully apply motion track data a few months back when I last used AE. Any idea what's gone wrong?

When you track, you have the footage window open and not the comp window, right?

Sorry to sound really dumb, but what's the footage window? This is a screen shot of what it looks like:

You're not set up to TRACK motion. You're set up to STABILIZE motion.

How do I do that then? I'm sure when i've done this in the past it was straight forward.

Click on your layer and choose the track option instead of stabilize?

Well, that's because there's no other layer in the timeline. Put one in there and see what happens. Don't forget to edit the target, or whatever they call it in the track window.
