I'm using a precomposed freezeframe of shatter as a displacement map for some footage to simulate a broken mirror look. It's not terribly elegant, but it works well enough. However, I need the cracks to move around in order to remain aligned with the footage, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to do that. Any ideas, either for a way to apply motion tracking to the displacement map, or simply another way to achieve the effect? Thanks.
Sorry, I'm having a hard time trying to articulate this. If the cracks were on an element that I was parenting to the footage, that would work. But I'm trying to actually apply the displacement map to the footage itself. I wish I could explain more clearly.
