I created a fairly straightforward comp with a lot of large moving tiffs over a talking head. And then rendered out the comp as uncompressed video. I brought it back in since I had to fix a few things, and placed it on the timeline so as to not have to render all the image moves etc.

I've done this hundreds of times before with no problem... Did the computer sense my urgent deadline?

But now when rendering, it still moves slow as molasses and what's worse it actually seems to take longer to do the processing.
Yes - the layer is on top and is full opacity for about 60 percent of the time. and there is nothing being done to the previously rendered video. I'm working at 720x1280 square pixel....
Okay bug hunters.... where do I begin to get this to work better. Running a macpro with 4gigs ram AE 5.0, all latest software.
