Does anyone know of a preset that will trim a layer to match a layer above (or below) it? Seems like this is something that would speed things up a bit.

And, I remember installing a preset a while back that automatically trimmed a pre-comp to the length of a the layer when pre-composing. Anyone remember where to find that?

Also, any other presets anyone uses regularly you'd like to share?

Thanks -

I find that it's pretty easy and fast to highlight the layer above, hit the o (for Out Point) key, highlight the layer below, and use the option-] (right bracket) key to trim the out point. Now the out points match.

True - but you have to do that for the in and the out. It's not a big deal, but if it could be done with one key stroke instead of several, that would be helpful.

Tell you what: go to AE's online help and look up the keyboard shortcuts. As you'll discover, pretty much all the single-stroke shortcuts are taken, along with lots of key combinations, e.g. cmd-opt-f.

There may be a script that can do the trick, but I've never even bothered to look for one.
