I am trying not to get excited here, but I have never had to use the SD card except for scene files. Anyway, a real man never reads the manual, but I just picked it up and see that the slot will take SDHD cards. It says yes! I can't find anywhere in the manual that video can't be recorded on the SDHD card via the HVX, but it doesn't make sense that it could.

Talk me down or prove me wrong please.

YOu can't record video to the SD card. The camera isn't designed to send video there. That slot is for the storage and transfer of data only, like Scene Files and user settings.

Want HD video on SD cards? Look at the HMC-150...

Yeah also the smallest SD card you can find will do the trick- the scene files are like a couple of K.
