I am having a problem with a dynamics simulation. I create a curtain pole using a cylinder, and a piece of cloth using a plane. I add a cloth tag to the plane, and a cloth belt tag. I select the edge points of the cloth and drag the curtain pole into the 'belt on' window and click set points. I can run the simulation and move the pole and the cloth stays attached. all works fine.
However I want the pole to fall, and take the cloth with it. I add a rigid body tag to the curtain pole and press play. The pole falls and takes the cloth with it, but the pole 'gets away' from the cloth, and I see a gap between the pole and the curtain as it falls.
How can I keep the curtain attached tightly to the pole as it falls?
someone may know better but Cloth and Dynamics do not play well together, they are non-related sim systems from different eras. You might be able to do it with SoftBodies for the cloth since that's part of the dynamics system.
