Hello, I am trying to do the following and would love some pointers.

Please watch this first:

What I would like to happen is for the broken bits of the C (see image below) to reunite and form their original shape.

I also want the pieces to slide out on the floor but to stay flat on the floor. To put it another way, I would like the face of each piece of the C that contacts the ground to stay glued to the ground on the Y plane but for to move out as they are on the X+Z.

you can stop the rotation by increasing Follow Rotation in Rigid Body/Force to 100 and you can limit the bounce by setting the Bounce in the collider and the "C" to 0 but you will still get a small amount of bounce, don't know how to stick the pieces on contact but still have them slide. Bringing it back together can be done by running it backward (in post)
