Is it possible to forbid object from overlapping one another?

Hi guys, so I am about to make a certain visualisation in C4D because the software I use usually can't export to other formats than it's own. However there is one great future that it has, maybe because it is a CAD program, not sure.

Anyway, to get to the point, once you create an object there, you can never push it into another so that the object is overlapping with another but instead it stops there touching the other one. Is it perchance possible to do this in C4D? Basically something that will forbid me from putting an object through another?

Anyway, thanks for reading and any answers I get. Also if it is a no, please say so too.

not that I know of, not easily like it sounds your program will do. It's possible to snap objects and is easier with points (if all of an objects vertices are selected the whole object can be snapped to anything). Dynamics could possibly be useful but like the snapping it would have to be setup, it depends on how your workflow is actually going.
