I hope I'll manage to explain this the way I intend to. I want to simulate a kind of papercut-lightbox as shown in the image, with an animated character in it. I'll animate the character in 3D, the rest will be 2D planes.
My issue is that the Character will also have to be 2D in the end, so that it looks like a cut out paper, and reacts to the light properly. Is there a way i can take my pre-animated 3D character and "convert" it into a 2D plane, while maintaining the animation?
