Hi guys!

I am trying to create this effect of flickering lights on individual lines/ faces of an animated polygon shape like this. How can I achieve this effect? Is it with material or

Like this one.

keyframing the value necessary (for the lights as they flicker on it could be Intensity if they are regular lights with volume visibility or Luminance Brightness/Color in a luminant material on objects). For the poly faces it's the same sort of thing keyframe the alpha or transparency

Thanks for the reply. Do you think it can be done procedurally with shaders ?

Like the video link reference, the effects is very minimal and looks classy.

Thanks!

looks like 3 - 5 pulses as the lights or polys flicker or come on. That's very easy to keyframe but if you wanted to do it with a shader, I can't think of a way right now but assuming it's possible you'd likely have to keyframe the start/stop though that would be less keyframing... GSG's Signal might be a way (not free though) and you could use a noise node in xpresso to flicker lights or luminance/alpha/transparency (PixelLab has a short Tute on this). Lester Banks has a tute where the Vibrate tag is used, with xpresso again...
