Noob Question
on Sep 13, 2018 at 11:51:17 pm

Hey everyone, I am a complete noob in C4D. So here are two objects, the left one is the obj I imported, the right one is just a cube. Why is the obj object like half-faded out? If you compare it to the cube, the cube is like a "solid" while the obj object is like washed out and has some lines on it.
Also, why is the axis control far away from the obj object while the one on the cube is not?
Sorry for these noob questions but I really need help, thanks! ☺

the logo has a transparent texture on it, C4D does that with transparent objects in the viewport to give a visual 'hint'. The axis is the axis of the chosen object (Path_0) and given that it likely was created from a spline imported from Illustrator and Illustrator files origin (where the axis will be placed) is by default in the lower left corner and not in the place you would expect. There are tools for that Mesh/Axis Center - that's a bunch of tools, you'd want to run Axis Center/Center Axis to for Path_0 and Path_1 then with either one of those selected run Mesh/Axis Center/Center Parent to which will center the Null to whichever you had selected. You can tweak that with the Enable Axis tool if needed but probably not necessary
