Invalid file format. Animated texture .mov

I was watching a tutorial where he showed how to add a .mov as animated texture: SEE THE TUTORIAL PART HERE: https://gfycat.com/ConstantBestKite
You can see in the tutorial that he can add the .mov file as an animated texture.

THE PROBLEM:
I can't import the same .mov as an animated texture, this is what it shows for me:

it says Invalid file format. and it's the same .mov
Maybe something changed with the new Cinema 4D versions (the tutorial is quite old)?
Thanks!

Using R18 on a Mac I can import .mov files as textures without problems. Perhaps you're on Windows and don't have QuickTime installed.

Or it could be a codec that isn't installed. You might have QT but might not have the blackmagic codec for instance that the movie was compressed in.
Can you play the .mov as a movie outside of C4D?
I have seen issues with things like H264 or mp4 (in a .mov wrapper) where C4d didn't like the B frames (or sometimes called G frames).
I've also seen issues with something made with either h264 for animation best on a Mac that the PC just doesn't like and visa versa.

I've installed Apple Quicktime Pro and it works! Thank you!
