Cinema 4d - AE. External compositing tag position overshoot problem.

New to Creative Cow and to C4D.
So I'm trying to get into C4D for work, I'm looking to make this neat little phone moving up to a QR scanner (This is supposed to be a jazz up from an old 2d project for practice). Using Sketch and toon to get this nice flat style. Anyway, I'm rambling, these details aren't important...
I've animated the phone in Cinema, and my understanding is the best way to composite AE comps onto the screen is to use an External Compositing tag on the screen in Cinema, and parenting the comp in AE to that data.
I've done this, but I'm getting this overshoot of movement on the null from the tag. The rotation at the end seems fine. Have I missed something? Or is this actually not the best way to go about it?
I'm putting in the projects for anyone interested to dig into. One thing possibly to note is that the C4D file was made in a trial version (as I'm just learning it for now), that shouldn't make a difference though?
