How to remove internal structures from semi-transparent objects?
on Jul 13, 2016 at 9:52:25 pm

Hello,

Thanks for taking a look. I very quickly created some simple building objects using primitives and some boolean operations, as well as partially embedding objects into them. The idea is to just suggest a building form that can then be made transparent. Think simple holographic display. My question is this: Is there a way to convert all these different and combined objects into just one visible "skin" object that will take transparency without showing the internal structures and cheats?

Thanks very much!!!

I think the only way (if I'm understanding) is to make it a single skinned object. Booles for holes are not a problem, embedded objects are a more troublesome but if you take your embedded objects and use a Boole in A Union B mode (with the main building) then probably make the whole thing editable with the Current State to Object command
