Emergency: How do I make segments stay connected to each other while Extruding?

Hi everyone,

I'm still pretty new to 3D modelling with C4D, and I've seen this fixed before, I just can't remember what to do first before I extrude. The piece I'm working on is about done, but it is due on Friday, and this base is the only thing I need left to do.

It would be great to get it figured out asap.

Thanks a bunch in advance everyone!!

That's thing, it is.
Even tried it with another Premitive with a few subdivisions added, same issue.

Thanks for the tip though.

it works, can you post an example file where the extrude doesn't work?

Here you go. I made a copy so you can try it out.

You need to set the minimum angle in the extrude tool to a positive number, like 89.

Hi Adam,

I've tried that as well, and it's still not connected. I need to make an Inner Extrude after the extrude, and it's creating a weird split at the corner of the top faces that are selected.

Thanks Adam!
