I've taken a cube. Used the bend deformer to roll it up like a roll of tape. I'm trying to use this as an object to be emitted by the emitter. Been struggling with this - can't figure it out.

it will work for the default emitter if you check Show Objects - and it already works for xparticles

Oops. Yeah, forgot to show objects. With x-particles, I just need to figure out how to adjust so only 15 get generated, spacing, etc. Thanks!
