learning Cinema 4d (version R17 Lite frmm After Effects). Having minor issue with adding keyframes. I'm clicking in object. going to attribute and either Control clicking the circle (to turn red), or right clicking on mouse and doing Animation>>Add Keyframe. Neither work. Reviewing the tutorial to see if I have different settings than on my screen but everything looks the same. Am I missing something?

In R17 you no longer need to use a modifier key when clicking the keyframe circle, as clicking it alone is sufficient, but when I try it, it works either way. Have you tried using the Record Active Object button beneath the View window (Circle with a key in it - shortcut F9) or turning on Autokeying (the next button over - shortcut CMD F9)?
Unless there are some differences between Lite and the full version, what you're doing should work. But if none of the above allow you to add keyframes perhaps you should try reinstalling R17 Lite, or send a support question to Maxon.
