Thinking Particles problem

Hi I am trying to follow a tutorial from Cinema4dTutorial.net and having some problem.
The tutorial suggested to use a polygon object for PSurfacePosition parameter, however, since my FBX model seems to have a pretty complex hierarchy of skin (mesh) objects, I just need some advice from you guys to sort this out.
Please see attached screen shot of xPresso and object hierarchy to get some idea. Since Null cannot be hooked up with PSurfacePosition and in order to plug in something into PSurfacePosition that is a polygon object, I need to find a way without affecting the animation of my FBX model.
I believe I have made it clear but if not, then please let me know to further explain it.
