(Please understand my English grammar ability. My first language is not English)

Now I'm making a bird and I have a problem.

I added Hair on selected polygons and hair are generated.

But Hair's roots are added on the surface of wings RANDOMLY

This is my problem... The hair on thick objects are okay, they are on proper place
but the others(on the thin objects like feather) have random place.

And I don't want it!!

One thing I found (looks like here and there) is due to direction of hair.

Some hair are generated on proper direction, and the other hair has reverse direction..

I spend all my time last night, and I added roots manually and brushed hair to change direction to outside of polygon but it is not natural...

Is there anyone who can help me? Please...

Thanks in advance.

hair grows in the direction of the surface normal, so in the places where it appears to be growing the wrong direction the surface normal for that polygon is probably going the other direction. Select the wings in poly mode and see if the selected polys are all the same color (yellow is outward) if you have a mixture of yellow and blue the polys are not all going outward like they should and you have to use Align Normals and reverse normals to get them all going the same direction.

Thanks for reply!

But I already checked out it. But all polygons have yellow color.

Even if set to reverse(blue color), hair's direction aren't change.
