Help! I have been trying to bake an object with reflections that match my render (blurry metal) with no luck. I am using the bake texture tag and the reflection always comes out clean and doesn't match my render!
the help for Bake Texture Options/Reflection says "When rendering reflections, one exception applies compared with the other material channels: Here you don’t have to specifically activate Reflectance - reflections will be baked regardless.". You'd have to ask Support to be sure but I have to guess it means it's not going to listen to reflectance settings since it doesn't even need them to function.
reflection bake is very directional - when testing I was getting black but it was on a cube on a floor with a sphere to reflect to me (the camera) and with default settings the floor is not visible in the cube (not direct line of sight) once I lifted the cube off the floor I got one face (using Optimal Mapping: Cubic) but didn't get all faces until I checked Use Camera Vector.
